  • Greenville, South Carolina - Real Estate

Greenville is the county seat of Greenville County, South Carolina, and is the center of the state’s most populous metropolitan area. The city itself is only home to 56,002 residents, due to its small geographical size, but recent estimates put the metro area’s population at 583,867.

Real estate prices in Greenville increased considerably in 2005, with the median cost of a home finishing the year at $152,200. This makes the area relatively easy to afford for most established buyers, but can present a bit of a challenge for low income families and first time homeowners.

One good way to overcome such challenges is to take a look at foreclosed homes and other discounted properties in the region, in order to identify the best bargains put forth by motivated sellers.
