  • Honolulu, Hawaii - Real Estate

Located on the Pacific island of Oʻahu, Honolulu is both the capital and largest city of the U.S. state of Hawaii. The city itself has a population of 377,260, while the whole island is home to about 900,000 residents.

Real estate prices in Honolulu have grown astronomically in the past few years, with the median single family home now costing $620,000.

This has made the city, along with much of the Hawaiin islands, a very hard market to enter for buyers from other parts of the U.S. For many established buyers and retirees, however, the region’s warm climate and excellent beaches may be more affordable than they thought. There are still a few decent deals to be found for those willing to scount out foreclosued properties and other discount listings in the area.
