  • Las Vegas, Nevada - Real Estate

Located in Clark County, Nevada, Las Vegas is the largest city and most popular entertainment capital of the state. The city itself is home to 575,973, while its greater metropolitan area boasts a population of 1,650,671, according to a 2005 estimate.

Real estate prices in the area have skyrocketed in recent years, with the median price of a home growing from $179,200 in 2003 to $315,900 at the end of 2005.

This has made the popular tourist destination a less and less realistic destination for lower income and entry level homebuyers. Good deals are still occasionally known to come on the market, however, in the form of foreclosures and quick-sale listings.
