  • Seattle, Washington - Real Estate

Located 108 miles (174 km) south of the Canadian border, Seattle is the largest city in Washington state, and seat of King County. A 2006 estimate puts the city’s population at 580,089, with 3,810,856 living in its greater metropolitan area.

Real estate prices in Seattle have grown quite steadily in the past few years, with the median single family dwelling now selling for $335,000. This is significantly higher than the national average, and can be very restrictive to most low to middle income buyers.

There are, however, still a few good deals available, in the form of foreclosed properties, and other discount realty listings.
